St Andrea Winery was established in 1999 by György Lõrincz, PhD and his family. Their philosophy is very simple: the quality of the wine is determined by the quality of the grape and the vineyard. They would like to create original and special wines by using both current and traditional viticultural knowledge and methods. The vineyard is almost 100 acres and they use yield control in order to keep the quality as high as possible. They have won a lot of awards with their wines both in Hungary and at international wine competitions.

2015 AKUTYAFÁJÁT (13%)

The best translation of the name would be "Oh gosh" for this wine. It's a blend of 51% Merlot, 32% Blaufrankisch, 10% Turán, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Syrah. It offers dominant red berry fragrances on the nose, along with rosy, peppery and spicy notes; and fresh, vigorous structure with a lot of fruit and spices on the palate. Crispy, but full-bodied red wine for everyday consumption.

2015 ÁLDÁS EGRI BIKAVÉR (13%)

The name of this Bull's Blood translates to "Blessing". A juicy red wine with warm tones and an elegant structure illustrating the great potential of the wine region. Warm aromas complemented by subtle spices and ripe fruit. Round, rich and complex on the palate. The tannins are firm yet surprisingly. The playfulness of acids and mineral notes is especially exciting at the end of the aftertaste.
