Tokaj Nobilis (Tokaj Region)

 

The Tokaj Nobilis Wine Estate was founded in 2000 by Sarolta Bárdos, it's a craft family winery. Growing grapes and making wine has been an important activity in the family throughout several generations. Certain vineyards of the 15-acre land were mentioned in written documents in the 1600's. Attached to the winery there is a traditional cellar where wines are aged and matured in barrels and bottles. Throughout the wine making process they use as little impact on the grapes as possible and they do not use any chemicals.

AMICUS TOKAJI FURMINT 2011 (12%)

A late-harvest wine made using naturally desiccated clusters with some botrytised berries. It bears apricot, pollen and fig aromas complemented by a hint of vanilla developed during aging in one-year-old wooden barrels. A real dessert wine: an excellent accompaniment to sweets, but it may as well be enjoyed by itself.
